I’m Tiemi, and I believe a simple knot can turn into something beautiful, something that makes your home feel cozy, warm, and uniquely yours.

I’m originally from Brazil, but I’ve been calling Canada home for quite a while now. Like many immigrants, I know the challenges of building a life far from family and friends. It hasn’t always been easy—working hard, chasing dreams, and sometimes feeling like they’re just out of reach.

For years, I felt unfulfilled in my career. Then life shifted when I became a mom. My sweet daughter changed the way I saw everything, she brought light back into my world and reminded me that life is too short to spend it stressed and unhappy.

Handcrafts have always been close to my heart, and not long ago, I returned to Macrame as a way to reconnect with myself, to slow down, breathe, and rediscover the joy of creating with my hands. What started as a personal escape quickly grew into something bigger: a space where I could create meaningful pieces for homes, table settings, and the little corners that matter most.

Macrame gave me back my sense of creativity and achievement. It reminded me that I still have dreams worth chasing. More than that, it inspired me to show my daughter that it’s never too late to dream, and that with love, persistence, and hard work, anything is possible.

That’s how Studio ATK was born—a new chapter in my life. Here, I share my ideas, experiences, and step-by-step tutorials to help you explore the beautiful art of macramé. You’ll also find patterns, handmade decor, and maybe even a little inspiration to brighten your everyday life.
